What is Community Rising?

Community Rising hires and trains local community members called Neighborhood Captains, to build real relationships with neighbors who've felt left out of the civic process.

Captains live in the neighborhoods they serve. They knock on doors, make calls, and send texts. Not to pitch anything, but to listen. Over several months, they return to the same neighbors again and again, building genuine trust.

Community Rising is a program of Movement Labs, an organization focused on what actually works in civic engagement.
